Eligible for a T3 Public Trust
8+ years of experience working with network and systems administration in a telecommunications environment
Strong Cisco experience
Experience troubleshooting and supporting networks for users on site and remotely
Experience setting up and removing secure access to network for end users
Strong understanding of LAN/WAN networks and their relationship to telecommunication
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Current certifications: Security+ce or CCNA are required
Bachelors Degree or 3 addition years relevant experience
DUTIES :
Ideal candidate will be supporting DOD network operations for client offices in Northern Chicago
Provide dedicated on-site or remote support for all tasks at clients HQ and travel to other remote locations to support unique projects, as required
Install, configure, and support organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of the telecommunication and network systems
Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
Monitor and test web site performance to ensure web sites operate correctly and without interruption
Provide end-user device support including, but not limited to, configuration, installation, and maintenance of laptops, desktops, zero clients, and thin clients
Maintain, test, and restore system backups
Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software
Supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists as needed
Administer network security measures as needed
