Position Summary
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our partner's assisted living community in Kensington, MD. This full-time opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about senior care and committed to supporting functional independence and mobility among older adults.

The role offers flexibility in scheduling, a collaborative care environment, and the chance to positively influence the lives of residents through high-quality therapeutic support. You'll work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to carry out treatment plans that promote wellness and improve quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered rehabilitation programs
Administer therapeutic exercises, functional training, and assistive device education
Observe and report on patient responses and progress toward treatment goals
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Foster a safe, encouraging, and respectful therapy environment for all residents
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current and unrestricted PTA license in Maryland
BLS certification required
Previous experience in an assisted living or geriatric setting is preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-based approach to care
