Essential Qualifications:
We are seeking a dedicated RN to take on the role of MDS Director. In this position, you will play a crucial role in managing Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments that contribute to personalized care plans and accurate clinical reimbursements. Your expertise will help us maintain compliance with all relevant regulations while optimizing our revenue integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the MDS program, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all assessments.
Identify Patient Driven Payment Method (PDPM) and associated expenses relevant to potential admissions.
Monitor and analyze Case Mix Index (CMI) scores to mitigate risks that could impact reimbursement.
Train, mentor, and guide MDS Coordinators as needed.
Participate in comprehensive resident assessments and the development of care plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for accurate data collection.
Provide ongoing education and insights to facility staff and leadership.
Analyze assessment data to ensure compliance and develop strategies to enhance reimbursement.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in nursing care.

What You'll Bring:
A valid state RN license.
An advanced degree or relevant certification is preferred.
Experience in direct care within a long-term care setting or as an MDS Coordinator.
Knowledgeable about state and federal regulations regarding MDS and billing processes.
Proficient understanding of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), PDP, MDS 3.0, and Medicaid and Medicare requirements.
A strong interest in the nursing care needs of the elderly and chronically ill.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively and influence outcomes in a multidisciplinary team setting.
