Windows Azure System Administrator/Engineer
Experienced Windows System Administrator
Active Secret Clearance (Will upgrade Top Secret)
5+ years of IT experience in an engineering / administrative role
Security+ or MCSE required
Microsoft Associate Cert for Azure Admin required
Ability to write technical documentation and diagrams, which includes standard operating procedures, issue resolution descriptions, and after-action reports.
Recent experience with DOD security practices and cyber requirements.
Experience with DOD STIGs and other DOD security practices.
Ability to manage STIG Checklists from initial Scan, to completing remediation updates, documenting false positives, and submitting completed and final checklist.
Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers, including web servers, DB servers, and network servers in support of business processing requirements
Heavy emphasis on managing servers (VMWare).
Experience with setup and monitoring of Backup Solutions
This position is client-facing so superior oral and written skills are required.
Works with Government staff and a contractor team of other SAs and Database Administrators.
Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
Develops and promotes standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers, including web servers, DB servers, and network servers in support of business processing requirements.
Performs software installations, patches and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
Familiar with DOD policy and maintaining system compliance with IAVAs and ACAS scans.
Familiar (experience preferred) with tracking and applying DISA STIGs and documenting findings/remediations when necessary.
Use advance tools (like Science Logic, SolarWinds) to help Monitor, track and perform troubleshooting of event logs.
