Local manufacturer is seeking experienced Carbide Tool & Die Makers - 1st shift (hiring all levels)
Requirements
- 4 yrs experience of CARBIDE Tool & Die work.
- Thorough knowledge of tool & die making practices and a sound working knowledge of tool & die designs and construction.
- Knowledge of metal properties and advanced shop mathematics is required.
- Able to operate standard shop machine tools including manual lathes, grinding equipment, hydraulic press.
- Strong blueprint reading and shop math abilities.
- Knowledge of layout, machining and tool assembly procedures and experience making progressive and compound draw dies.
- Communication and team skills required to complete projects on time and under budget.
- Ability to read/write reports, drawings and work instructions is required
** experience should include: semi finish Carbide, finished straight hole dies, point inserts, ream and lap torx inserts, f Inished straight hole dies, point dies, torx dies, extrusion dies, some assemblies, impact dies
