FISP is one of the many acronyms used in our design and construction industry and it means Facade Inspection and Safety Program, formerly known as LL11. Our clients are NYC Building Owners and Property Managers seeking to maintain the exterior of their buildings and to meet the requirements of FISP for their filing cycle. We protect the public from deteriorated conditions on a building’s façade. These conditions can fail if it’s not properly repaired in a timely fashion. If it fails, it can make the surrounding area worse and eventually fall off the building onto the public right-of-way. The whole purpose of NYC's FISP is to prevent this from happening. We work closely with our client’s goals and budget and guide them through the FISP process - every step of the way. We discuss our findings and recommendations after the façade inspection and create a plan to repair their building facade on time and on budget. We provide architectural services from start to finish on a project. We conduct facade inspections, prepare the required technical reports (TR6/FISP), prepare drawings and specifications showing the scope of work, provide expediting services to file the drawings and related forms with the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for the Contractor to pull permits, provide construction administration (CA), and project closeout/sign-off services.

Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings and other physical structures. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. Historical civilizations are often identified with their surviving architectural achievements. The term architecture is also used metaphorically to refer to the design of organizations, software, and other abstract concepts. Construction is the process of constructing a building or infrastructure. Construction differs from manufacturing in that manufacturing typically involves mass production of similar items without a designated purchaser, while construction typically takes place on location for a known client. Construction as an industry comprises six to nine percent of the gross domestic product of developed countries. Construction starts with planning, design, and financing; and continues until the project is built and ready for use.
