Benefit Program Assistant
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the accounting and administration of the company's benefit programs and performing payroll functions. This position includes frequent interaction with employees regarding benefit and payroll issues.
Responsibilities
Assist in the processing of weekly payroll and serve as payroll backup
Track and withhold employee garnishments, as necessary
Track short-term disability, as well as related FMLA
Process employee updates and employee maintenance items
Processes divisional and corporate bonuses. Such as ROA, Conversion, Profit Sharing, and RSU awards
Process W-2's and other year-end duties
Assist employees with payroll/benefit questions
Participate in new hire orientation
Assist in new hire onboarding Qualifications
Cannot have an immediate family member employed at this division.
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Must be able to multi-task, problem solve, and be detail oriented within a confidential environment.
Must be self-motivated and organized to meet weekly deadlines
Exceptional verbal and written skills are required
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of payroll processing and benefit plans is preferred
