Amazon is looking for a customer obsessed, and motivated individual to join the Amazon Fresh Grocery's Strategic Operations & New Ventures team (SONV). Our team is responsible for developing the topline/trading plan for the Grocery business and for developing highly strategic growth projects.
As Business Analyst, you will develop solutions to drive business and financial insights on the Grocery business. You will own:
Building performance metrics and dashboards
Writing insightful analyses of business performance, suitable for an executive audience
Collaborating with cross-functional and international teams to develop top line analytics best practices
On this team, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with a group of passionate business leaders, category managers, operations specialist, product managers, research scientists, and software developers to help bring data-driven insights to the fore.
This position requires innovative thinking, ability to quickly approach large ambiguous problems and apply reason, technical and engineering expertise to rapidly research, validate, visualize, prototype and deliver analytical solutions. This position also requires significant cross functional partnership and clear communication skills. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-oriented and collaborative environment.
Key job responsibilities
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards,
Write insightful analyses of business performance, suitable for an executive audience
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
Experience with SQL
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
5+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
5+ years of business or financial analysis experience
Master's degree in business or analytical discipline
Prior experience in Retail, Consumables, and/or Supply Chain Management industry
Proficient in a programming language (e.g., Python) for automation of data extraction, processing, and computation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
