Position Overview:
Coordinates, monitors, and supervises the activities of the receiving and shipping area. Depending on facility size this individual may have a direct report but currently does not. Perform tasks for the outgoing shipment of parts, components, and products. It includes packaging, marking, weighing, and loading for shipment and transactional activities in SAP. On the receiving side, it encompasses de physical receipt of material, the conformance with the purchase order quantity, identification, and delivery to destination.
In this function you will:
" Responsible for receiving incoming material and shipping material out to our customers in a timely and accurate manner.
" Responsible to review key performance indicators of area with supply chain manager and work on actions to improve them.
" Trains others in the area.
" Supervises overall performance of the team members in shipping/receiving (if applicable).
" Assists others in the area with performing their tasks and with troubleshooting problems.
" Maintains subject matter expertise in specific area of oversight, which may include things like:
o Receives purchased material, parts, and supplies into the system.
o Packages goods for shipping using standard commercial packaging as specified.
o Prepare s shipping documents and distribute same upon completion of shipping transactions.
o Invoice of sales orders shipped out of the facility
o Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound material
o Maintains files with open work orders for materials sent to outside processing.
o Assists in resolving paperwork problems regarding packing slips, certifications, closing work orders, etc.
o Manages shelf life on materials.
o Returns rejected goods to suppliers as required.
o Transports received parts to inspection or to the user as applicable.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
" High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
" Minimum of 2 year or more experience in shipping/receiving and/or inventory control.
" Minimum of 1 year or more of MRP experience.
" Must be able to work in the Client States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
" This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
" No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Torrance, CA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
" Forklift certified and/or trained in the last 5 years
" 5 + years in shipping/receiving and/or inventory control
Position Criteria:
" Familiarity with age sensitivity material handling
" Knowledge of SAP
" Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
