Overview:
The Device Technician II assembles, tests and maintains electrical, pneumatic and mechanical components using procedures, drawings, and work instructions. Must meet and exceed customer’s expectations. Can work independently. Follow procedures and guidelines set by management.

Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision, assemble electro-mechanical assemblies using hand tools, fixtures and templates.
Read and comprehend electrical schematics and use measuring devices
Build and/or test assemblies per a written procedure or work instruction
Monitor and report on testing status and progress.
Clearly communicate in an email any issues that need to be addressed
Diligent use of Omnify to be able to track recurring problems
Responsible for the upkeep of manufacturing areas and keep a clean, safe work environment
Help commissioning resolve device issues that may arise after delivery to systems
Keep travelers and all relevant documentation up to date
Follow BOM and work instructions, reporting any issues to supervisor and MFE
Keeping supervisor and/or MFE CC’d on all correspondence to engineering
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school Diploma Required
3 – 5 years instrument manufacturing experience
Mechanical/Electrical aptitude
Ability to follow process documentation
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail providing the highest quality of work
Troubleshooting
Multitasking
Various computer software and hardware (more than just a basic knowledge)
Quick learner
Problem solving
Soldering
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Can-Do attitude
