Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Director to lead NETA and NICET-certified electrical testing operations across mission-critical data center facilities. The role will lead a team of 18 technicians and all projects are within a 30 minute drive of Atlanta so no travel is needed.
This role will sit on the exec team for the company and be responsible for regional team leadership, operational excellence, client relations, and technical oversight of low- and medium-voltage systems testing during construction, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee regional operations for electrical testing and commissioning of power systems within new and existing data centers.
- Manage and support NETA and NICET-certified field teams performing acceptance, maintenance, and commissioning testing.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards for electrical equipment testing.
- Direct testing of switchgear, UPS systems, generators, battery banks, PDUs, RPPs, transformers, and grounding systems.
- Partner with general contractors, owners’ reps, and commissioning agents to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical leadership on complex testing and troubleshooting scenarios.
- Support hiring, development, and retention of high-performing technicians and engineers.
- Track regional performance metrics (safety, quality, schedule adherence, and financial targets).
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or field service, including leadership of multi-site teams.
- Active NETA Level II, III or IV and/or NICET Level III+ certification highly preferred. but not required.
- Proven experience working in mission-critical environments with a deep understanding of data center power infrastructure.
- Familiar with electrical distribution systems from 480 V to 15k V, including backup power and redundancy systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 E, OSHA, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and driving operational efficiency.
