Position: Electrical Designer
Location: Morristown, TN (On-site)

Position Summary
A growing manufacturing company in the heating and boiler systems industry is seeking an entry-level Electrical Designer to support the design and development of electrical systems across multiple product lines. This position plays a vital role in ensuring electrical designs meet customer requirements and comply with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical circuits and prepare schematics/wiring diagrams using CAD software
- Select appropriate components based on technical requirements and applicable codes (NEC, UL, CSA, NFPA)
- Collaborate with production teams to verify designs are practical and efficient for assembly
- Write technical documentation including electrical system descriptions and operating instructions
- Assist with troubleshooting and support for customers and service technicians
- Support engineering staff with additional design-related tasks and cross-department collaboration
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in Electrical Technology, Drafting, or related field
- Entry-level experience; 1+ year preferred
- Proficiency in 2 D CAD software; Solid Works experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation drawings
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with PLC capabilities or ASME pressure vessel controls is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing environments; PPE required on production floor (steel-toe shoes, eye protection, etc.)
