Title Clerk Job Responsibilities:
Process and issue titles and liens for automotive purchase and refinance transactions.
Process the trade vehicle transaction, resolve title issues, and communicate with lenders, store personnel and buyers regarding title issues and clearance.
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions to recommend to management for resolution.
Work with various team members to accomplish monthly production goals.
Open and review incoming title mail, verify status of the vehicle and file title to appropriate place.
Search in CDK software to identify the stock# based on the VIN number to write on title.
Pull and match titles to the vehicle sold in preparation of titling.
Locate missing deals and/or titles based on title clerk request.
Place deals to be titled in proper location in our in-house tracking system.
Hand-write customer and lien information on title in preparation of title transfer of ownership.
Performs a variety of other clerical tasks in order to assist with the efficient operation of the title department.
