Sr Program Manager -Enterprise Financial Systems
The Sr. Program Manager expert provides oversight and planning direction of designated projects to ensure project performance requirements and objectives are accomplished. Ensures the timely and successful performance of project tasks. Responsible for the overall oversight and independent verification and validation (IV&V) of specific tasks/projects on behalf of the CIO. Ensures technical solutions and schedules are implemented promptly. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, IT staff, and Project Managers.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for managing program resources, schedule, scope, cost, and deliverables.
Lead the organizational change management initiative related to the new implementation.
Provide management and technical direction of the projects and provides internal planning, guidance, and management structure for tracking the accomplishment of work assigned.
Review Projects Scope, Requirements, Schedule, Risk Management Plan, Communication Plan, other Project artifacts.
Consult with functional area to understand and improve their systems related processes; designing solutions to address any gaps in their business
Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available departmental resources to various phases of a project. Escalate any project issues including timing, budget, resources, scope and more, to the CIO in a timely manner.
Work with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
Coordinating effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the process.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and reviews projects deliverables.
Manage the integration of project tasks and tracks and reviews project deliverables.
Areas of expertise:
At least 15 years of progressive experience in Application development/system integration and support.
10 years of IT experience (System Development/Integration) with at least 3-5 years of hands-on implementation experience with ERP, Analytic and Reporting solutions,
Budget planning, and forecasting solutions, and System/process integration.
Hands-on experience in managing implementation(s) of ERP, Budgeting/Planning and Advanced Analytics and Asset/Work Management Systems in the utility industry.
Led a few large scales (Financials, Procurement, Account Payable, and analytics implementation projects in the utility industry).
Bachelors' degree in computer science, engineering, or in a related field or equivalent work experience.
