Position: General Technician
Department: Assembly
Direct Report To: Manufacturing Manager
Power Built Material Handling Solutions LLC is a turn-key material handling equipment builder and systems integrator. Our clients include many of the largest auto manufacturers in North America. Our growing assembly team is seeking an experienced team member to assist in the department as it continues to expand.
Position Summary:
The primary objective of a General Technician at Power Built is to ensure the accurate, safe, professional, and complete assembly of custom engineered tools within the Assembly Department. The Technician works at the direction of the Manufacturing Manager and the Engineering-Purchasing Liaison to ensure jobs are being assembled on time and meeting the desired expectation of functionality and appearance. A successful candidate for this position should have a passion for seeing projects from start to completion, strong attention to detail, capable of working well with others and in an individual setting, open to learning new skills and abilities, and an ability to excel in time sensitive and at times high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly of custom engineered tools based on assembly drawings, schematics, and diagrams provided by the engineering department
- Testing of custom tools for functionality prior to shipping
- Accurately following prints during assembly of products
- Maintain a clean work area/appearance in house and onsite for assemblies/installs
- Communicating any issues/delays immediately and accurately to appropriate person
- Travel to customer sites for the installation of Power Built Products
Requirements:
- Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
- US work authorization (Required)
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience with working on machines/equipment (Preferred)
