Position Description
The Grants Coordinator position will serve as an expert on questions related to service delivery and oversight for substance use throughout Arizona. It is important that this position be able to determine appropriateness and effectiveness of state and federally funded substance use and integrated care services. This position requires writing grant applications, as well as the oversight, monitoring, implementation, and contracts related to grant-funded programs. Write grant applications, reports, curricula, protocols, policies and other documents (such as minutes and meeting agendas) related to treatment, grant implementation and workforce development. Writes requests for grants, requests for proposals and intergovernmental agreements. Monitors contract and subcontract compliance with contractual obligations and adherence to policies and requirements. Technical assistance with developing budgets with grant subrecipients. Facilitates multi-agency strategic planning. Coordinates and participates in meetings with stakeholders, community members, special populations and other state agencies. Works with local, state and federal stakeholders and partners to develop, modify, adapt policies and improve efficacy of services in Arizona. Management of grant work plans, timelines and deliverables. Other duties as assigned as related to the position (typically 5% - 10%)

Experience Required
Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience, direct service and/or grants management
Experience Preferred
grants and contracts management reviewing and approving budgets in alignment with grant and contract requirements reviewing and approving expenditures in alignment with grant and contract requirements developing grant applications/plans AZ substance use treatment system, local and/or state level work with local, state, and federal partners work with tribal communities and other racial/ethnic minorities or other underserved or minority populations participation in compliance monitoring site visits
Education Required
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health or public health field

Master's degree preferred
