Industrial Hygienist



TalentBridge is partnered with a world- class chemical company. They are seeking an Industrial Hygienist to support their plant in the Spartanburg, SC area. The primary responsibility in this role is to ensure that the workplace is safe for employees and to minimize the risk of workplace accidents or injuries.



Responsibilities



•Works with latitude to plan, conduct, and direct development of Industrial Hygiene (IH) related work. Will be directly responsible for all aspects of IH programs as well as other facets of Health-related topics and programs for various businesses and products



•Participate on the IH steering team and provide technical expert support



•Uses expert knowledge of scientific principles and concepts to contribute to the development of the company's IH policies, standards, and operating guidelines



•Facilitates activities at sites to ensure activities are aligned to meet at a minimum all Federal and State laws and regulations specific to site locations



•Acts as an internal authority on all existing and proposed changes in applicable Federal, State, and international laws and regulations related to the field of occupational health and industrial hygiene



•Stays abreast of all potential emerging issues related to Health and Industrial Hygiene providing technical analysis and reporting to Sr



•Develops sampling strategies and ensures all sampling is completed per recognized regulations to include job specific job tasks sampling



•Works with the analytical lab to ensure all data is analyzed and conducted per the approved testing methodology



•Reviews, evaluates, and prepares replies to technical and management audits



•Supplies technical inspiration and leadership consultation to professional co-workers



•Monitors and controls the organization's health standards in accordance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, NRC, DOD, DOE and State, Federal, and Provincial programs/ regulations



Qualifications:



BS or BA in Industrial Hygiene or related field.
