Qualifications:



Must be a US citizen or be a Green Card holder



Experience with:



TypeScript



React



Node.js



Postgres



Understands the business impact of what is being built and prioritize projects accordingly



Must have good problem-solving skills that start with a clear and accurate understanding of the context



Advance knowledge spanning both the back-end and the front-end, in at least some of these topics: data structures and algorithms, front-end state management, database design, computer graphics, or distributed systems



Must think critically about the implications of what is being built



Must communicate ideas clearly, whether explaining technical decisions in writing or brainstorming in real time



Responsibilities:



Work with others to build and maintain quality user interfaces



Work closely alongside existing development and design teams to make UX improvements on the front-end and DX improvements on the back-end



Responsible for the life cycle of features, from conception to implementation



Work with others to build new product features from start to finish, through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance



Help improve performance and reliability, or polish existing features



Identify changes to our UX to make it easier to upload a 3D model



Work on the GLSL Shaders to improve the way the 3D models look



Build internal tools to support simplicity and productivity for the whole team



Write a script to ping our slack channel whenever a high number of users are on our site

In 2012, Zuppo proposed an ICT hierarchy where each hierarchy level "contain[s] some degree of commonality in that they are related to technologies that facilitate the transfer of information and various types of electronically mediated communications". The term is commonly used as a synonym for computers and computer networks, but it also encompasses other information distribution technologies such as television and telephones. Several industries are associated with information technology, including computer hardware, software, electronics, semiconductors, internet, telecom equipment, and e-commerce. Humans have been storing, retrieving, manipulating, and communicating information since the Sumerians in Mesopotamia developed writing in about 3000 BC, but the term information technology in its modern sense first appeared in a 1958 article published in the Harvard Business Review; authors Harold J. Leavitt and Thomas L. Whisler commented that "the new technology does not yet have a single established name. We shall call it information technology (IT)." Their definition consists of three categories: techniques for processing, the application of statistical and mathematical methods to decision-making, and the simulation of higher-order thinking through computer programs.
