As an Environmental Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for serving as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance issues affecting Government facilities in support of the mission!

What You Will Be Doing:



Drafting policy statements, standard operating procedures, fact sheets, newsletter articles, and other communications regarding current and future environmental regulations affecting the Government.



Developing and/or reviewing applicable environmental compliance and management plans.



Reviewing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation and providing facilities' project managers advice on NEPA applicability.



Providing technical environmental regulatory assistance and guidance to facilitate environmental compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.



Conducting environmental compliance inspections/audits/evaluations as directed by the Government to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Presidential Executive Orders.



Updating and monitoring environmental regulatory permits held by the Government.



Developing and conducting environmental compliance training for Government employees and contractors.



Must Have:



MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances.



Bachelor's or Master's degree in science or engineering.



Five years of related experience.



Nice to Have:



Nationally recognized environmental credential (Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), Professional Engineer (PE), etc.).
