Overview:

We are currently conducting a search for a talented Software Quality Engineer. We are looking for a dynamic individual that will enjoy working as part of an Agile team to deliver high quality products. Successful candidates will be able to learn quickly, operate independently and cooperatively, and engage team members to bring issues to closure. This a full-time salaried position located in Beverly, MA, or Remote.

Responsibilities:

Quality advocate on a cross functional agile team



Responsible for representing the quality assurance function and its status to its internal clients in software, delivery, product and customer support



Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. engineers and product managers) to identify system requirements.



Lead technical direction and discussions for product quality



Produce documentation to improve test strategy including functional, regression tests, performance and security tests.



Define test metrics, prepare test results dashboards and track/report.



Participation in Agile development processes. Plan and lead regression testing at iteration and release level



Work closely with the software engineering team to reproduce and debug issues.



Qualifications:

5+ years experience as a quality engineer. Additional software experience is a plus.



Experience with Test Management systems



Demonstrated ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects



Experience with cloud and/or SAAS products



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 



Excellent verbal and written communication skills



Pluses: 



Experience building an automation framework



Comfortable working with hardware



Lab automation integration experience



Working with instrument controls



Exposure to a Life Science industry
