Job Description $1,500 HIRING BONUS $500 REFERRAL BONUS General Summary The Truck Driver is responsible for the transportation and timely delivery and pick up of materials from customer locations to URT facilities or other locations by SAFELY using assigned equipment. Essential Job Functions · Must comply with all applicable local, State and Federal DOT requirements. · Responsible for safely transporting materials locally and out of state. · Safely operates vehicles, trailers and equipment in and out of facility. · Picks up materials from customer locations and transports URT facilities or other locations as assigned. · Complete pre-trip and post trip inspection on vehicles and trailers. · Maintains clean transportation equipment by cleaning daily. · Assist customers in loading/unloading trucks or trailers. · Perform and record preventative inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment when not driving. · When not driving, responsible for performing other facility duties including, though not limited to, material handling and general production operations. · Must notify URT Management of any changes to your driving record and/or MVR within 5 working days. · Efficiently handles any assigned tasks. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities · Must possess a valid driver’s license: Class A CDL for drivers operating trucks weighing OVER 26,000 GVW; drivers operating trucks weighing UNDER 26,000 GVW are not required to hold Class A CDL. · Must be insurable by our current and any future insurance carriers. · Must be forklift certified. · Working knowledge of all transportation equipment. · Working knowledge of all DOT requirements. · Ability to read, write, speak English. · Ability to read, interpret and navigate using various map publications. · Ability to safely work in an outdoor atmosphere consisting of varying temperature and conditions. · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently. · Ability to drive up to maximum allowable limits as established by DOT. · Ability to read and interpret applicable DOT and OSHA/safety rules. · Ability to write legibly. · Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in both written and verbal form. Pre-employment DOT physical, including drug screen, required. Education and Experience High school degree and/or several proven years of relevant work experience.
