Our Client’s Body PE Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Logistics Engineer The primary responsibility of this role is to perform digital engineering simulations for in-house logistics vehicles for current production and to support new model planning. Simulations will be quantified for determination of congestion within the manufacturing process and countermeasures identified to mitigate process down time. Also, supporting current condition digital factory/digital twin development and maintenance, support new model planning for logistics. Reporting to the Body PE Logistics Manager, the person in this role will support the Body PE department's objective of providing new model processes to the manufacturing facilities which meet all targets for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and Compliance, while continuously improving our processes. Successful candidate process responsibility: · Gather and Quantify Current Shop Floor Condition and Modeling Logistics Traffic Flow with Simulation Software · Simulate New Model Condition with Summary of Changepoints and Impact to Overall Project KPI · Countermeasure to Mitigate/Eliminate Logistics Traffic Flow Downtime or Equipment Impact. · Successful candidate process support responsibility: · Planning for NAMC internal logistics layout and equipment needs, go and see to gather current data (benchmarking) · Make logistics process layout and conveyance route for material delivery throughout the shop · Evaluate multiple options of equipment plans for logistics KPI while working with a team · Identifying critical judgement criteria and providing studies to support decision making with strong consideration of critical path of decision making for project success. Requirements: What you bring? · Bachelor’s (or higher) Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics Management or Work Equivalent · Ability to identify and solve complex problems and investigate related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. · Logistics/Conveyance/PC experience in manufacturing environment. · Value Stream/Logic Flow Mapping Experience and Mindset · Experience with 3D Simulation Software (FlexSim, Visual Components, SimuLink, etc.) · Proficient in MS Excel to Create Standard Operations withing Modeling Software What you may bring? · High Functioning MS Excel (Macros, VBA) · New Model Body Shop Production Preparation Experience · Manufacturing Shop Project / Mass Production Experience · Experience planning internal logistics / conveyance processes [from dock door unload to lineside delivery] or course experience in manufacturing process planning · Body Structure & Processing Knowledge · Advanced Engineering/Logistics Degree At KAYGEN, we are always looking for dynamic, talented and experienced individuals.
