Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead on large-scale capital projects, potentially across multiple sites, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Take full ownership of projects through all phases including concept development, cost estimating, planning, execution, and deployment.
- Align project outcomes with strategic objectives, managing scope, resources, risks, and schedules.
- Organize and lead cross-functional project team meetings and maintain clear communication with leadership.
- Drive feasibility studies, vendor selection, and proposal evaluation in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Define project deliverables such as the Statement of Work (SOW) and technical specifications for goods and services.
- Monitor and control multiple workstreams, proactively managing conflicts, dependencies, and milestones.
- Conduct and lead Process Safety Management (PSM) activities such as HAZOPs, Risk Assessments, MOC, PSSR, LOPA, and development of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Provide detailed project reporting including status updates, risks, issues, and deliverable tracking.
- Help establish and improve project management processes, templates, and tools.
Non-Negotiable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred).
- 15 plus years of progressive experience in Project Management, specifically in capital projects.
- Ability to lead & conduct Process Safety Management (PSM) activities such as HAZOPs, Risk Assessments, MOC, PSSR, LOPA, and development of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Ability to lead major large-scale capital projects, potentially across multiple sites, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Ready to travel up to 50% of the time across multiple industrial sites in North America
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in complex environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in Process Safety Management and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to quickly understand and adapt to new chemistries, processes, and technologies.
