Description
Skiltrek is seeking an IT Support Technician to work on site for one of our Fortune 500 clients in Appleton, WI. Ideal candidates will have a associates degree within information technology and one year experience. Applicants must be flexible to work a normal first shift as well as some weekends or off hours for project work.
The primary responsibility of the IT Support Technician is to provide end user services support to clients end users that will allow them to efficiently utilize technology to complete their work. The IT Support Technician will provide technical support while accurately utilizing the incident and request management system to respond to customer needs.
Job Duties:
" Identify, triage, and resolve end user device problems.
" Accurately, document, track, and monitor problems using applicable systems and tools.
" Provide support to end users for computer, application, system, device, access and hardware issues.
" Must have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
" Installation and support of company required hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, VoIP, scanners, phones, tablets) and software.
" Be a resource to the IT Platforms (Zoom, Local Backups, Local Servers, Local Networks, etc.) that may need assistance with Projects and support of the day to day IT Infrastructure at the location they support
" Support conferencing/collaboration technology leveraging client solutions of Audio/Visual displays (Zoom, telephony, etc...)
" Hardware configuration and deployment
" Willingness to work flexible shifts and scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays based on project needs.
Educational/ Position Requirements:
" Preferably an AA degree in Computer Science or related technology field
" Technical certifications such as Microsoft, A+, Apple are preferred, but not required
" Technical knowledge of workstation hardware and software, printers, network, mobile devices and peripheral equipment such as scanners, tape-drive, etc.
" Ability to work with peers in collaborate teams
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills
