Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op will develop and maintain methods, processes, and equipment necessary to achieve manufacturing and quality objectives. They will work with engineering to specify, build, test, and challenge new and existing product designs to improve efficiency, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, and cost. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment to reach common objectives with aggressive schedules.
This role reports to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:
Develop or improve manufacturing processes to support schedule compliance
Provide support for assembly troubleshooting and process failures through NCMRs, which includes root cause analysis and development of corrective actions for device failures
Lead improvement projects on existing manufacturing processes for cost-reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.
Drive engineering change orders for existing products including dispositions
Represents manufacturing on cross functional teams
Support the system build and test documentation and perform training for technicians
Support manufacturing manager and peers by anticipating problems, providing input on solutions, reacting productively to change and handling other tasks as assigned
Support safety and environmental programs as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Can-do attitude, strong initiative, highly collaborative and accountable
Must possess the ability to multi-task and react quickly and professionally in high stress situations
Able to work with minimal supervision and direction and be productive in a team environment
Excellent analytical, organizational, oral and written communication skills
Expertise in Microsoft Office applications including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and MRP/ERP systems. SolidWorks experience a plus.
Knowledge of product data management and Bills of Materials
Preferred:
Local candidates are preferred
Work is split between a general office setting and the manufacturing shop floor area.
Ability to move or lift equipment/product up to 50 lbs. on occasion
