Nesco Resource is helping a great company secure experienced 3 TOOL & DIE MAKERS in the Wayne, MI area. These are 1st & 2nd shift, Direct Placement opportunities.
Make and maintain all types of tools, dies, and fixtures
Ability to use sketches, blueprints, project specifications, and models to make tools and dies necessary for work operation
Diagnose and troubleshoot machine assemblies to perform necessary repairs on tools, manually-operated dies, and progressive dies
Ensure accuracy of work performed by conducting test runs on tools and/or dies to ensure all components meet specifications
Ability to make adjustments to work performed, when needed
Ability to independently select the proper metals and materials to meet project specifications
Set up and operate both conventional and CNC machine tools
Interface with internal and external customers to ensure demands are being met
Ability to meet Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost metrics
Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience using CAD software preferred
1 - 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
3 - 5 years of experience in Tool & Die making preferred
Excellent technical skills, to include the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Basic math and verbal skills
Working knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery
Ability to follow standard work processes and operate with a continuous improvement mindset
Flexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekends
Demonstrates Core Values Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence
Must possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and have strong work ethic
High School Diploma/GED
