Description

Role: The Audio and Visual Media Technician



Location: Winston-Salem, NC Onsite



Duration: 6 Months contract



This candidate is required to work onsite for the duration of the engagement in



Winston-Salem, NC.



Job Description:



The Audio and Visual Media Technician will assist supporting and addressing the AV needs of the campus.



This includes live streaming events, installation and configuration of equipment, and responding to support ticket requests.



Set-up, operate and control a variety of audio-visual equipment that is utilized for instructional and training presentations in large lecture auditoriums, classrooms and conference room settings.



Operate and maintain a variety of high-tech audio-visual systems and equipment, e.g. projectors, video receivers and monitors, display panels, cameras, audio and video processing equipment, and etc.



Provide routine service, repair and maintenance of malfunctioning and inoperable equipment.



Assist and instruct faculty and staff on the operation of audio-visual equipment - Setup, prepare and monitor live streaming events, board meetings and commencement



Perform routine maintenance and periodic equipment inventory of equipment - Perform related work as assigned.



This position works both independently and collaboratively with other members of Information Technology to solve onsite audio and video problems and provide excellent first line service to the end users and customers within the campus community.



Skills:



A strong understanding of audiovisual equipment, systems, and technology is essential.



Proficiency in operating AV equipment and software, including knowledge of control systems, audio mixing consoles, video switchers, and etc.



The ability to identify and resolve technical issues and problems related to AV equipment and



Systems.



Knowledge of integrating different AV components and systems to create cohesive and functional AV setups.



Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple AV setups and projects simultaneously. The ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.



Basic knowledge of video production principles, including camera operation, framing, composition, and lighting techniques.



Networking to include Wi-Fi setup and configuration experience.



Excellent customer service and communications skills.
