Material Handler page is loaded **Material Handler** **Material Handler** locations USA-OH-Akron time type Full time posted on Posted 6 Days Ago job requisition id J-011989 **Job Description**: **Material Handler** Huntsmans Advanced Materials Division is now searching for a new Material Handler located at our site in Akron, Ohio.

**As a Material Handler, you** **will:** * Prepare domestic and export orders, loading trucks and containers and general labor-type activities according to directives given by supervision.

* Moving tank trucks and trailers around the plant area.

* Handle raw materials and finished product inventories, and unload packaging supplies for the process areas such as metal and fiber drums.

* Train in plant clean-up.

* Understand the operation of the shipping department and its equipment and troubleshoot problems.

* Perform work as required in the event of an emergency and perform minor maintenance.

* Duties are not limited to the above description as it may be necessary to perform work of a similar or lower skill level.

This includes assisting in other areas of the plant, assisting in plant programs, and other activities as directed by supervision.

**Skills and experiences required:** * High School diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

* Associate degree or college experience is a plus.

* Forklift experience is required.

* Experience working in chemical manufacturing is highly preferred.

* Tow-motor operator and Tractor/trailer operator experience.

* Must have a high regard for safety and the environment.

* Must be computer illiterate with the ability to communicate through email and use digital systems.

* Ability to work in a physical, industrial environment.

* Strong work ethic and commitment to following production, quality and safety protocol.

* Must be able to Sit for long periods on tow-motor.

* Must be able to stand on feet for long periods.

* Must be able to lift to 63 lbs.

* Must be able to squat and bend without issue.

* Must be able to climb ladders.

* Must be able to reach overhead without restrictions.
