Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Team Lead on the design and development of clutch housings.

Perform concept modeling and stress analysis using CREO Simulate.

Coordinate part detailing activities with external design and drafting teams.

Review PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process) and contribute to supplier quality assessments.

Conduct design assessments and evaluate deviation requests for non-conforming materials.

Develop first-pass design solutions and concepts as directed.

Perform basic FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to validate structural integrity.

Travel occasionally to the Decatur plant to support production and process optimization.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

3+ years of experience in mechanical component design.

Proficiency in CREO or similar CAD modeling tools.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with casting design, particularly clutch or axle housings.

Familiarity with rotating component design and analysis.
