Operations Services Specialist

We are seeking an Operations Services Specialist to support a growing, modern banking operation with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional client service. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily processing across multiple operational functions, including exception handling, payments, research, documentation, and complex client transactions.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and enjoys balancing operational accuracy with problem-solving and client interaction. You'll support both traditional banking functions and emerging digital financial products, contributing to the continued evolution of the organization's operational framework.
What You Will Do

The Operations Services Specialist is responsible for handling a diverse range of back-office banking functions, including:

Managing and prioritizing daily work while maintaining full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Processing high-value transactions such as ACH payments, wire transfers, account openings and closings, cash letter returns, non-post overdraft items, check adjustments, and deposit verification.
Supporting exception processing, transaction research, rejected-item decisioning, and reconciliation.
Imaging client documents and performing accuracy checks to ensure completeness and audit readiness.
Preparing and processing manual cash letters and force-post items that cannot transmit electronically.
Assisting Branches and internal partners with research requests and operational inquiries.
Monitoring for potential fraud, identifying irregularities, and escalating issues appropriately.
Documenting processes, updating procedures, and helping maintain internal knowledge resources.
Supporting both traditional consumer deposit products and emerging digital-asset-related services.
Managing small projects from start to completion, ensuring timely updates and organized documentation. What You Bring

Minimum of 3 years of banking operations experience.

Strong understanding of retail banking processes, regulatory compliance, new accounts, teller-related policies, and client service standards.

Ability to process high-dollar transactions with exceptional accuracy and sound judgment.

Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Strong analytical thinking, research skills, and decision-making abilities.

Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and online banking platforms.

Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.84 per hour
