Shipping And Receiving Coordinator
Package and ship goods in accordance with customer and freight carrier requirements.
Receive goods in accordance with applicable quality procedure and work instructions.
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Assures proper distribution of all related documents, paperwork, etc.
Perform preliminary inspection of received components and issue copy of proper production traveler.
May supervise/coordinate efforts/schedule or act as trucking personnel.
Delivery/Pick up of components as required. May be required to safely transport products between company and customers/suppliers.
Proper identification (hazardous/non-hazardous) and disposal of waste packaging materials.
Maintenance/housekeeping of Shipping/Receiving area and company owned vehicles. Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklifts. Must be proficient with fork lift to operate in tight spaces.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; Must possess a valid driver's license; some technical, logistics training preferred
Possesses an understanding of freight carriers, customs regulations, pertinent FAA/aerospace regulations, waste disposal (hazardous/non-hazardous), relevant forms/logs, tools, foam packaging equipment and machinery such as fork lifts. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
Physical Requirements
Heavy lifting may be expected. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required moving boxes and other aerospace components, but usually performed with assistance.
