Traffic Control Apprentice
Road Runner Safety Services Inc. is seeking a dependable, motivated Traffic Control Apprentice to join our team in St. Louis, MO. While we provide training, we strongly prefer candidates with prior traffic control or field/construction experience. This role requires someone who can work independently, confidently handle responsibilities in the field, and collaborate effectively with a team. Key Responsibilities:
Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices to ensure safe work zones
Apply MUTCD standards and company safety procedures
Complete accurate service reports and required documentation
Safely operate and drive company vehicles to and from job sites
Support operations at nearby locations when needed
Fabricate and assemble traffic control signs
Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs on company equipment
Communicate professionally with customers
Identify and communicate customer needs to assist with sales opportunities
Work independently and with team members to complete assignments efficiently
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in traffic control and familiarity with basic work zone safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Valid MO Class D driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
Ability to pass an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Dependability, self-motivation, and a strong commitment to safety
