Job Summary: Warehouse Associates at Auto Zone are key players in the smooth operation of the warehouse, ensuring the effective flow of goods in and out.
They handle a variety of tasks, from receiving shipments to packing orders, always focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities: - Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy.
- Handle the distribution and storage of all warehouse items, ensuring they are stored in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Pick, pack, and scan orders according to company standards for delivery to stores or shipment to customers.
- Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles.
- Work closely with the inventory team to perform periodic counts and ensure stock levels on the system are up to date.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a warehouse role preferred but not essential; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
- Time management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases.
